An evaluation at BoardPrep is typically a forensic-style independent medical evaluation (IME) – meaning a provider-patient relationship is not established at the time of the evaluation. An IME includes an evaluation of the participant’s current well-being status through interviews and objective testing methods. Additionally, it includes review and analysis of pertinent records and reports. The goal of an IME is usually to establish or rule-out an impairment that may cause concerns for practitioner safety. The evaluation team has special expertise in the matters being considered. Findings are presented with a high degree of accuracy, impartiality and confidentiality.

BoardPrep offers in-person and live-video evaluations. Options include single-visit to 4-day, comprehensive, in-residence evaluations, depending on the need.
