Heavy participation in 12 step fellowships while in treatment and during the first two years of recovery is highly predictive of ongoing success in recovery. BoardPrep patients attend 7-9 AA or NA meetings weekly while in treatment.
Our facility is conveniently located one block away from Tampa’s Club YANA, home of several AA/NA meetings daily. The proximity and convenience enables BoardPrep patients to experience the best parts of the recovery community, get sponsors and get involved in service. All of these 12 step fellowship components are key to continued success after treatment.
Some people report that they have had a bad experience with 12 step fellowships in the past. In such rare instances, we work with them individually to either create a better experience than the one they had previously or find alternative community based recovery groups that will benefit them.
